BSc (Hons) Mech Eng., C.Eng, Member of Institute Mechanical Engineers, Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute UK, Member of American Society for Quality, IRCA Registered Lead Auditor

For the last 20+ years I have been working with various sectors of industry, such as calibration, testing, construction, telecomms, manufacturing and the service industry in the application of quality management, helping companies improve their systems as well as achieve the necessary recognition to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025/17020 and ISO 15189.  I was MD of a management consultancy in South East Asia for over 6 years before settling back in the UK.  Since that time I have been a Director of  two leading UK consultancy and training organisations whilst continuing to work as a trainer and consultant.

I have worked as a Lead Assessor for third party certification and accreditation bodies such as BSI, LRQA and NATLAS/NAMAS (now UKAS).  I have advised on the establishment of several third party certification schemes worldwide and have worked in over 40 countries.

In practical terms, I have presented many (too many to count) IRCA, RAB (Registrars Accrediation Board, USA) and IATCA (International Auditor & Training Certification Assoc.)  Lead and Internal auditor training classes for ISO 9001 (including ISO/TS 16949, TL 9000 and ISO/IEC 17025 variants).  I have developed training courses which have been recognised by IRCA and RAB as well as supplier auditor training programmes.  My approach is practical and improvement focused.  I have experience with both developing, running and implementing systems within companies with the viewpoint of an external accessor.  I have developed tailor-made training courses for a wide variety of companies, large and small and in different sectors.
